Into Les Bleus.. Zizou is still the GREAT!
I’ve to say, the 1st half showcased the power of the Italians in controlling the game. It was quite dreadful and disappointing to see my heroes didn’t perform as expected. But then, they got a lil bit lucky as Les Bleus got themselves a penalty, as Malouda was tackled by Grosso (I think..). & who would’ve had scored the penalty better than the Great Zinedine Zidane. But it was taken in sumwat alarming way, cuz the ball actually hit da cross-bar before falling across the line. Thank god the officials saw it & announced it as a GOAL! Fiuhh!! I’m not sure if it was deliberate cuz the way Zidane took it, by juz flicking the ball to the far right, when Buffon, the Italian keeper was heading the opposite way, was quite messy but smart at the same time. It was as if he wanted to trick Buffon and make him look like a total idiot by juz gently ‘pickin’ the ball up and aim it to the left side of the goal post effortlessly. Clever but dangerous.. But I’d say the 1st half was dominated by the Azzuris and they got their equalizer at the last minute of half time.
In the 2nd half, France was back in the game, with numerous attacking but unfortunately no goals. A bit unlucky. Same goes to Italy, though they played defensive almost the whole time. So it took them to the extra time, when Zidane was red carded for injuring Matterrazzi, Italian Midfielder. Italian juz can’t play clean, can they? They knew that Zidane was the captain & core spirit of the France team & supporters. & they juz couldn’t get their dirty hands off him. Poor Zidane, I heard he was called “Dirty Terrorist” by Matterazzi. Who would juz walk away with that kind of accusation aiming straight to your face? I would’ve juz shot him right thru his forehead. But u know, it’s juz rumors.
So in the end with ten men and low self-confidence, France lost to Italy by penalty shoot out. It’s ok, they’ve reached the final, unexpectedly. I am still proud to be their fanatic fan cuz I'm juz sOooo into Les Bleus, pour toujours! :D
