A simple yet complicated girl when it comes to stating a point in life & desires to be accomplished, cuz getting anything of any sorts seems to be significant, a naive & innocent girl wit a big heart but still cheeky depending on da mood, open minded & easy to absorb any kinds of info regardless its tendency to be completely crap, easy-going & out-going which makes sitting @ home is such a burden & a waste if not spending it wisely by hangin-out in mamaks, coffee places or even chillin in clubs, living a sumwat bz life wit work during da day & sipping tea & inhaling 'polluted air' @ nite (if not da whole day :P), hates being left-out, emotionally unstable ppl, & childishly back-stabbers, but rather keeping all dis dislikes to self cuz life's too short to get into trouble or start a fight, loves livin life in harmony wit loads of ppl 2 share da feelin wit...

And AGAIN?

Nope. Not talking bout beating Liverpool last week, but rather bout the match that took place this morning. Where Arsenal have won against the not-so-glorious Manchester United! Final result: ASNL 2 MAN U 1 hahahah And how come ‘again’? Many don’t remember or chose not to remember that my team have beaten Man U 1-0 at Old Trafford the first time they met for the English Premier League, probably cuz ‘the host’ didn’t take us seriously. I don’t blame them cuz they rarely lose in their own field. How Arsenal proven them wrong! Honestly, I thought Man U would take Arsenal seriously this time around as they have the advantage of playing home, the Emirates Stadium. And also to get their revenge, as intended or rather ‘announced’ by Ferdinand. But na’ ah, they were confident enough to have played comfortably during first half thinking they would score in between the time, which they did in the second half though. But not enough to win the game, as the substitution of Hleb for Van Persie have definitely turned the game around, when he scored our first goal! Still, Man U safely played defensive the whole time onwards to settle for a draw. But Arsenal’s courage was unstoppable (you can see in this game that they want to win so very badly, especially Henry! Yeap the thing that you rarely see nowadays) that they have been rewarded the winning goal at the very last minute during injury time, by the great captain himself, THIERRY HENRY! What a superb header which was assisted by Adebayor with his excellent cross.

Now, they have closed the gap in the ranking and placed Arsenal nearer to the second place… for now… hahah

Lastly, to this person, who is a Man U fanatic who watched the game with me this morning, who also predicted they will win 4-2 if not 4-0 :P you are absolutely pathetatically dead wrong!

Wooohoooo WE ARE BACK IN THE GAME BABY! GO GUNNERS!!!

They've Done it Again!

"LIV 3 ASNL 6" err wut?? That was da first line that popped into my ear as i woke up that morning after listenin 2 da radio. Suddenly da typical laziness of me waking up in da morning had automatically turned to lively. I was smiling from ear to ear, my ass was light as feather to get up from the comfy bed, my feet was already at its standby to walk to the bathroom, my hands already reaching out 4 da towel & i was all ready 2 hit da shower. Wut a lovely day it was! Yea I was happy a few days before, as my team, Arsenal had beaten Liverpool 3-1 during FA cup. My support of watching the game early in da morning at 1 a.m. had equally paid off. Was satisfied alright. But this victory over the Carling Cup that I didn't watch thinking that Liverpool might win as they will definitely take their revenge this time around, juz out of this world! I am juz overwhelmed & extremely happy! Finally the Liverpool fans can shut up now. OMG I'm starting to sound like 'em! hahah Oh well, nvm, it's all worth it :D

D e c e m b e r U p d a t e s

Happy new year everybody! Hope y’all had a wonderful time celebrating its arrival. Me & the boys; Ayol, Fir, Anep & Sat went to the Curve for the countdown celebration. Yea it was quite packed with cars and of coz ppl, but it didn’t take us long to find a parking space, nor it made the environment chaotic or stuffy. It was actually OK. We had fun watching Jaclyn Victor and Reshmonu performed bout 4 songs juz before the countdown started. Really enjoyed watching the oh-so-beautiful fireworks and of coz picture snapping before-during-and-after the event. Well, goodbye 2006 & WELCOME 2007!

Let’s recap on the activities done on the month of December 2006, since I didn’t post anything due to time constraints. Pretty busy with work & social life too hehe.

I went on a 5-day business trip to TAIWAN and HONG KONG. It was my first time ever traveling overseas and ALONE! I was reluctant to go at first considering it’s my first time traveling far from home to a country so different; in culture, weather, language and food, and going all by myself juz gave me the chill. Since it’s seemed to be the only opportunity to realize my dream of traveling overseas, I decided to grab it. & the thought that it may be the head-start of overseas business trip for me, for a lot more coming. With that, I kept a positive mind and excitement going and juz get on that plane! And it was the BEST choice I’ve ever made. The trip went great, as scheduled and expected! In Taiwan, I stayed at K Hotel 1, Taipei. The room interior and facilities was awesome (internet access and HBO, Cinemax and MTV channels) and the service was excellent. It’s located juz walking distance to the train station & 3 shopping malls. So I highly recommend it to y’all who happen to go to Taiwan. It was cold and rainy most of the time. I spent the whole 3 days working half of the day and jalan-jalan at night. During the day I went to I-lan (where I met with a wild boar that happened to be a pet! eewww) and Taichung (had a nice lunch at an Indian restaurant, accompanied by a nice Taiwanese Man and a driver for the whole day juz to bring me wherever I wanna go! Cool eh!). At night, I managed to window-shop at the 3 shopping malls nearby. The price was quite expensive so shopping-sakan is totally out of the question. Also went to the night market and bought some souvenirs and hangout at haagen dazs juz to get a sip of coffee.

Move on to Hong Kong, where I spent 2 days working and ‘shopping’. It was a HECTIC place, kinna like Chow Kit Road in KL, with only high rise buildings: shopping malls, office buildings and apartments. Had lunch at a Japanese Restaurant and stayed at Newton Hotel located exactly on a street where they have night market every night! Imagine opening the hotel door and the first and only thing you see was stalls, lotsa people, buses, taxies and of course garbage. Didn’t actually like it, but it was a good experience. Although I was lucky to be upgraded to a suite but the previous hotel was way better. Probably because this hotel was quite old and there were only local channels on TV. At night I went on a train to go CAUSEWAY BAY, the ever so famous shopping heaven in Hong Kong. Had a list of stuffs-to-buy for my family and Ayol in hand that made me searching for ‘em instead of my own. Only managed to get a few stuff for everything is SO EXPENSIVE. Might not be expensive for people who used to buy all the branded stuff like LV, GUCCI, Fred Perry, Channel, Coach etc. as everything was half price but still thousands of dollars in total cost. Not for me! All the walking left me with cramped fit and headache as it was quite crowded and a lot of malls to go to. I managed to go to SOGO, Laffarel, Man U & Barcelona shop, World Trade Centre (WTC) and Island Mall, out of a lot more shopping malls around! The last place I hangout before I left for the airport was Hong Kong Station. The design of the building was stunning, almost like being in ‘New York’ hehe. Managed to walk around the nearest mall, IFC Mall, where everything was expensive, if not the same price as in Malaysia. But I bought a few clothes anyways haha. So, that’s all about my trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong. :D

Next is wedding. I attended to the weddings of my 2 bestest pals; Dena and Yas. Witnessed two different types of nikah ceremonies; one at Masjid Wilayah and the other at home. Both are quite interesting and observing it now is good so that I can make the right choice for my nikah later! Hahaha. And here I’d like to wish both couples; Dena & Ariff and Yas & Ayep a wonderful life ahead as husband and wife and semoga ke anak cucu. Amin.

Oh ya another important event took place on this month as well, my dearest friend found her true LOVE! And it’s now official! Congrats to you! ;D

So there it is, the whole updates on the journey of my life for the month of December that ends the year 2006 and welcoming the year 2007. Happy New Year!

Healed Wound

Yeah that’s how I felt yesterday. Thank god the wound only lasted for one nite before it turned to scar, and healed soon after, this afternoon. So what’s the big deal with this wound anyway? I was actually talking about my grieve over Arsenal’s lost to West Ham last nite 1-0. It got me all depressed the whole nite till this morning.

Actually, I wasn’t so emotional when I started watching the game until the commentator announced that Arsenal will be in the top 3 alongside Man United and Chelsea IF they win this match. Suddenly all signs of pressure quickly developed throughout my entire body; heart pounded rapidly, goose bumps, cramped feet etc. It made the match looked so nerve wrecking, especially the part where Hleb wasn’t granted a penalty. Stupid referee! Urghhhh!

And so I don’t think I need to explain how I felt when the opponent scored the winning goal. One word, F***ed. And I think I speak for every single Arsenal fans, players and even the Manager, Arsene Wenger, who was furious with West Ham manager and argued most of the time during the game. He didn’t even shake hands with West Ham’s manager. I was so upset that it made me all moody the whole nite. Ayol was quite irritated by my behavior but thanks to his patience, he then consoled me with some ‘pep talk’:P And it did ease my ‘pain’ a lil bit.. hehe

This morning, as I was getting ready to go to work while listening to the morning crew, they announced that Chelsea had lost to Spurs 2-1! It means that there is still hope for Arsenal to reach 2nd in the premier league! Plus, they still have one match in-hand (as Ayol said) to get that extra points, if they win that is.. hehe So yeah I was relieved.
And to add to that joy, I am already ranked 11th in the Fantasy Premier League (hooray!) overtaking my all-time rival, Anep! Muahahahah Now that, really HEALED my WOUND.

So next goal:
Support Arsenal till they reach top 3
To reach top 5 in Fantasy Premier League

On a Tight Budget

If last month was a ‘love’ & festive month, then this month on the other hand, not as glorious. I call it a ‘budget’ month.

I am sure you can understand why, all the spending during raya: shopping (top to toe), distribution of ‘duit raya’, personal makeovers (hair laa what else?) etc. Even an advance paycheck and bonus couldn’t cover it. Although it’s different in my case, as I just got my pay yesterday, the result is still the same -> BROKE. And by broke, I mean I didn’t save a single cent for the whole month. Totally swerve from the path of a journey to my dream - to travel overseas (excluding Singapore). Sad huh. Had a few places in mind: Australia, Phuket & Bandung. But it slowly disappears one by one from my vision, which was once clear as glass. Ok laa a bit emotional. But the point is, I screwed up & now hafta work twice as hard and save twice as much to cover last month’s savings.

What frustrates me is that, I DID NOT spend on duit raya, DID NOT spend on makeovers and only shopped very few for tailoring 2 simple baju kurung and 3 pairs of shoes. OMG, I actually splurged all my money on FOOD? Can you believe it? What a waste. Oh ya, plus I rarely use the credit card now and started using my own cash even on toiletries. Anyhoo, eating out has always been my routine for as long as I can remember. I even hafta eat out during the whole week of raya holiday. So now it gotta stop. Not completely but reasonably, not to the extent that I’ve to starve myself to death.

So lesson learned and new strategies constructed:
1. NO shopping on unnecessary items (especially in Guardian/Watson)
2. NO in between meals
3. NO eating out when there’s food at home. Start calling home everyday to confirm.
4. Eat only 3 meals a day
5. NO food after 12 midnite

I plan to discipline myself by executing the above throughout the year, and see what happens. If all goes well and I’m back on track again, the strategy stays. Wish me luck!

Eid-ul-fitri Bleus

I’ve been longing for this year’s raya since the day we started fasting. Teruk kan? Maybe cuz this year the excitement is different cuz our 8th anniversary falls on the same day. But when it finally arrived, I just wish it would end now. Not because it wasn’t worth celebrating, but I’ve been spending the whole two days bumming around the house / if not in cafés. It only felt like a joyful raya on the first day, when my parents were around. We spent the almost the whole day visiting relatives and my bro’s gf’s house (Dora). I was dreaded to go to Dora’s house in Mont Kiara cuz I know it would be boring and pointless to go. But I was totally wrong. She actually has a hot looking elder brother. A 27 year old working guy with a handsome face (yeap I did some research :P). Maybe he looked gud cuz he was wearing baju melayu. Whatever it was it really caught my eyes as soon as I stepped into the house. He’s not married but quite attached to his long-built-relationship gf. Yeap apparently my research was very thorough hehe. Actually my dad helped out on that as he was digging stuff bout him. Imagine that? Somehow he caught my dad’s attention too! Unfortunately my interest fades slowly as I talked to him and spent the whole 1 ½ hours observing his chit chatting with my dad and his brother in law. Yeap he talked more with them the whole time & was getting along very very well with my dad. Need I explain why I didn’t dig him? I totally was turned off by all that. He was like a soul of a 37 year old man trapped in a young gud looking 27 year old body. What a waste.

Anyway it did actually make my day for awhile. Then we went to our relatives’ in Gombak, Setapak, and Jalan Ipoh. That’s when I discovered that I actually have quite a number of relatives around KL. It was like a long awaited experience as I haven’t been spending raya like that for about 3 years. So I did enjoy it!

And since my parents left on the second day of raya for their hometown in Kelantan, my days felt dull and longer every day. Moreover most of my friends are away. And my daily routine was sleep, watch TV, eat, sleep, watch tv..urghhh. What’s worse all the tv programs sucks as hell. Isn’t it ironic? Already downloaded One Tree Hill and Desperate Housewives latest episodes, still it does not cover. SooOoo BoriNggGgg

However, I am looking forward to see my man tomorrow! Yeay he’s coming back to celebrate our anniversary! Counting the hours now which I think I shouldn’t cuz it will only make tonite the longest nite ever. So no counting, no thinking, no waiting. Shhhhh….

October, the month of L.O.V.E.

Uhuk* Uhuk* At this instant, I am in major need of Strepsils! I’ve a bad soar throat since this morning, just before I woke up for sahur. Why now? I’ve to bear with it till buka puasa which is approximately in 2 hours time. This is a hell of a torture I tell you! Dear god, why put me in this agony? Just when I’m all hyped up in Raya mood & of course awaiting the most special day of the year of every year…me & Ayol’s 8th Anniversary! Exactly on the 24th October 2006. Yeay! Double celebration for moi! :D

So yeah it’s not too much to say that this month IS the month of love. Not bragging bout my celebration but rather other people’s love life. Other than the fact that my best friend, Dena is all hooked-up with her fiancée a.k.a. husband to be, which have made her extremely hard to reach, there are others who are developing such sensation at this very moment. A girl who used to be in denial of her fondness towards her ‘business’ acquaintance, and now in no position to hide her affectionate affair with the ‘business’ turn ‘special’ acquaintance ;) simply because she’s all smiley for no reason all the time. Well maybe she does have a personal reason. Anyway, there’s also a girl, who was dreadfully rebuffed of the fact that a very close colleague might be interested in her. And when the man himself made his move, she went all cloudy-9ty, and soon after got officially together. Maybe I’ve never mentioned this before, but me & Ayol (yeap him) honestly think that you two look good together, like a perfect couple. A sweet but cheeky girl just fit perfectly in the arms of a humorous but gentleman guy. And then, there’s this guy who is carefree but mysterious in nature with a goal of getting the right girl and now has fallen for this girl whom he met & known for only a few months. Despite the drama that it may have carried, this couple just couldn’t care less. Is it fate? Or is it just the month? That brings a whole lot of love in its hazy air to all these couples! Hahaha

Whatever the reason maybe, I congratulate the above lovebirds who have found love and enjoying the moment of indescribable affection throughout the month of October 2006. Let us all celebrate! :D
