Missing Lala

After losing all four new-born kittens a few months ago, now I lost LALA, the mother.
Early yesterday morning, my mom was reversing her car when she heard a loud unpleasant sound, the sound of pain from my poor one & only cat, LALA. It seemed that her tail got rammed over which made her tail numbed and possibly paralyzed cuz it stopped moving. Adal was the one who’ve been told by my mom to bring LALA to the vet. And the minute he reached the vet and opened the car door, LALA who’s been terrified of first trip in a car, ran off and vanished in split seconds. Adal couldn’t find her after a few moment of rigorous searching (well, that’s what he had claimed :P)

Losing a cat in an accident and losing a cat without knowing where it is and what happened is two different things. Hence, the level of frustration is also different depending on the person’s sensitivity and endurance. Some might think death is better accepted than knowing something is gone without a reason. Some might feel it’s better to lose something knowing it’s still alive & not evidently dead. And others, like me, thinks both situations affects the same to mind, body & soul, cuz we are losing a SOUL ere! Not juz someTHING…

:D

Am having flu right now. Or is it cold? As I was told by someone, that these two terms are different. So let’s just call it influenza! Funny thing is I feel unbelievably happy! Why? I dunno. Maybe cuz I’ll be getting my paycheck tomorrow. Or cuz my boss will be off to Kelantan for 3 days. Or I’m juz naturally happy. Full stop! :D

Congratulations Dena & Ariff

At about 4.30 p.m on Sunday, soon after the 'ceremony' was done, I took a deep breath & slowly digest the fact that Dena's engaged! She's the first among us best friends (Sara, Dena, Nivin & me) since school, to be engaged with the man of her dream, ARIFF ELLIZA. That evening saw two ceremonies, merisik & tunang. Which meant she received two rings from the mother & grandmother. Gorgeous ones that is ;)

A lil bit of their history.. Dena met Ariff, who was studying in Aussie, on the net early last year, where Ariff, who was also her long lost admirer, tried his luck on her. Dun really know what the pick-up lines were, but they finally got together around April 2005. After about a year, they decided to get married & Ariff's family came to merisik last month. And last week they officially got engaged! The wedding most probably will be on February 2007. Can't wait to go & witness the whole ceremony, and this time the bride is DENA. It's no shock but rather surreal to see your best friend being the main cast of a wedding. It's gonna be big i tell you! Can't wait for that!

I'm so happy for both of you & may you live happily ever after.. :D

Into Les Bleus.. Zizou is still the GREAT!

Happy, cuz da game was entertaining! Sad, cuz my team lost in a disastrous way. Not that the opponent (Italy) won big, cuz they didn't, and that makes it frustrating!

I’ve to say, the 1st half showcased the power of the Italians in controlling the game. It was quite dreadful and disappointing to see my heroes didn’t perform as expected. But then, they got a lil bit lucky as Les Bleus got themselves a penalty, as Malouda was tackled by Grosso (I think..). & who would’ve had scored the penalty better than the Great Zinedine Zidane. But it was taken in sumwat alarming way, cuz the ball actually hit da cross-bar before falling across the line. Thank god the officials saw it & announced it as a GOAL! Fiuhh!! I’m not sure if it was deliberate cuz the way Zidane took it, by juz flicking the ball to the far right, when Buffon, the Italian keeper was heading the opposite way, was quite messy but smart at the same time. It was as if he wanted to trick Buffon and make him look like a total idiot by juz gently ‘pickin’ the ball up and aim it to the left side of the goal post effortlessly. Clever but dangerous.. But I’d say the 1st half was dominated by the Azzuris and they got their equalizer at the last minute of half time.

In the 2nd half, France was back in the game, with numerous attacking but unfortunately no goals. A bit unlucky. Same goes to Italy, though they played defensive almost the whole time. So it took them to the extra time, when Zidane was red carded for injuring Matterrazzi, Italian Midfielder. Italian juz can’t play clean, can they? They knew that Zidane was the captain & core spirit of the France team & supporters. & they juz couldn’t get their dirty hands off him. Poor Zidane, I heard he was called “Dirty Terrorist” by Matterazzi. Who would juz walk away with that kind of accusation aiming straight to your face? I would’ve juz shot him right thru his forehead. But u know, it’s juz rumors.

So in the end with ten men and low self-confidence, France lost to Italy by penalty shoot out. It’s ok, they’ve reached the final, unexpectedly. I am still proud to be their fanatic fan cuz I'm juz sOooo into Les Bleus, pour toujours! :D

World Cup Final BABY!

Last nite, my team played against Portugal & they won! Result: Portugal 0, France 1. What a relief! Cuz the game was oh-so-boring. Both teams played like it was a friendly match. Yeah I understand that they are in a lot of pressure, given Portugal has never been through to the semis let alone winning the world cup ever before. Which made me thinking since they want the title so badly, they might play tremendously. And also the fact that they’ve lost to France in the World Cup for four times, this should give them the motivation to work even harder for they do have the warrior-fighting spirit. But actually France didn’t play well either. Bad passing and lost possession like a hundred times throughout the match. And since the Portuguese didn’t grab the opportunity to score and create a threat at the French expense, the game was awfully and depressingly dull.

Truthfully I think Portugal played better than France as they created a lot of opportunities but no closure. Since France got lucky by leading 1-0 through penalty taken by Zizou, they only concentrated on defense. They protected their goal like a mother protecting her child. Superb work by Thuram and Sagnol who managed to block most of the attempts within the penalty box.

And so they're through to the final & will be up against the Azzuris (the Italian) this Sunday. Hopefully Domenech will teach the French on diving tricks. :P

I know Italy has better chance to win, but I hope that the final match will be entertaining. C'mon People!

A Series of Upsetting Matches

Last weekend was so memorable to me because I got to see England football team lost to Portugal on penalty shoot out of 3-1. What an upset! The most boring but satisfying game I’ve ever watched, not that I hate the team but the supporters. Over gile okay! And last nite Germany was beaten flat by the Italian football team or rather comedian / actors by 2-0. I juz simply dun like the Germans / NAZIs, football players I mean. Another upset!

And wait, the excitement didn’t end there! ‘My’ Les Bleus (France) have beaten the World Cup defending champion, BRAZIL!. Unbelievable! Totally upsetting! But if you know their history, France actually had once won against Brazil in 1998 where they were crowned the Champion of World Cup France 1998. It was an entertaining game because I think both the teams played fairly well the 1st half. And France played extremely well which outshined Brazil’s samba-kicks throughout the 2nd half. Thierry Henry scored (not at the last minute okay!) and France defended their goal well till the last second of the full time to make sure they win with 1-0 against everyone's favorite, BRAZIL. People have criticized France’s abilities and their win over Brazil eight years ago, by saying that it was pure luck for they scored either through free kicks or corners with the advantage of playing on home ground. But this year’s World Cup match proved their so dead wrong, by juz looking at the Brazilians that couldn’t even keep the ball in possession. Or maybe Zizou's (Zinedine Zidane) performance was so outstanding that the ball juz wouldn’t budge from his skillful feet. He is still the GREAT! I am not bragging, juz so excited and proud of where they are now..thru to the semis! Seriously, IT IS GUD ENUFF FOR ME no matter what happens tonite when they meet the Portuguese. Although statistically France had never been beaten by Portugal in their last four World Cup matches, but since the word ‘UPSETS’ is so in now, predictions are highly overrated!

I’m juz hoping they play their best and all my stars have given their all in this match. Even if they dun find victory but atleast they made us fans proud! :D Go Les Bleus!
